I represent individuals and businesses in litigation, contract and real-estate related matters in Crested Butte and Gunnison, Colorado, as well as in other western Colorado communities such as Montrose, Lake City, Salida and Grand Junction. I also serve as a mediator to assist in the resolution of civil disputes.
 
I am one of the most experienced lawyers in the Gunnison Valley, having practiced law for over 30 years. I offer services in the following areas:
  • Civil trials and appeals. This includes representation of clients in cases involving person injuries, contract disputes, business relationship disputes, construction issues, boundary disputes and mechanic’s liens.
  • Land use. This includes representation of clients before the Gunnison County Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners, the town councils in Crested Butte, Mt. Crested Butte and Gunnison, and the Hinsdale County Commissioners.
  • Business formation and operations. This includes the preparation of articles of incorporation and operating agreements for limited liability companies, agreements between shareholders or members of limited liability companies, contracts with customers or providers and real estate documents such as leases.
  • Real Estate. This includes the preparation of contracts, deeds, financing documents.
  • Mining Law. This includes the representation of mining companies in the preparation of contracts and in governmental or environmental issues.
